Politics & Ignorance - Hand in Hand?

The world around us is losing its patience, it seems. What with strange day to day mud-slinging on National (some are International too!) TV ! Especially, what kept me glued to NEWS for the past few days was not the BCCI sponsored Cricket Debacle DOWN UNDER but the cartoonist turned politician Raj Thackeray. The way he has been giving b(i)ytes is not at all amusing. When Raj quit Shiv Sena I personally thought he would do some good work - socially, politically and rise above the average politician.

But heck! He turns out to be frustrated! Sheer anger!! At what? He should re-visit his school and take history lessons which would do him a lot of good.

Go Through It and See If BOMBAY aka Mumbai IS ONLY FOR MAHARASHTRIANS alone?

I wonder what will happen to Thackeray's Uncle - Bal Thackeray if nephew Raj takes away the main-stay of Shiv Sena i.e. being Anti-EveryOne except Maharashtrians plank?

Is it just a political gimmick? OR Is it more serious a threat to all non-Maharashtrians in Bombay aka Mumbai?

When he cant spare an Internationally admired Mr. Amitabh Bachchan would he spare the common man?

I admire any man who speaks his mind but what has Raj Thackeray been speaking is not based on facts.

How can any group of people from a particular region take away jobs which are open for all?

How many Maharashtrians have been not been employed just because he/she is a Maharashtrian?

What then takes this Man to say that Maharashtrians arent getting jobs in Bombay aka Mumbai because outsiders (non-Maharashtrians) have taken their jobs. HOW? Can some one please explain to me how can one snatch a job?

And when one gets religion involved they should "respect" it.

I am a person who pays respect to all religions and visit and pray at all the religious places because I believe GOD is ONE!

How can any one talk about a "puja" in such a derogatory manner?

I think there are many such points on which Raj would like to take another look and hold a press conference and apologise and behave in a more Indian manner.

Bombay aka Mumbai is made for everyone but hell not everyone who cannot afford to live here should not stay back either. The ones who have a job or can get a job in a short period should make an attempt else this city is going to burst!

Having stayed here for twelve years now I cant imagine to shift elsewhere except to Goa!

Their are a lot of more issues like the Slum Rehabilitation Scheme, the MHADA episode, the skyrocketing prices of Mumbai Realty, the Sensex (which should come under the Right to Information Act microscope) and Health, Sanitation (Imagine when a Hrithik Roshan cant get clean water who can?) Nutrition, Education, Employment Opportunities and a pollution free environment! But isnt it out of fashion for politicians to talk on these issues?

Well lets keep other things for another day...

Till then I hope Raj Thackeray gets his acts together and fast before someone in a remote town in Bihar again slams a case against him like last time!

The last time i read in a news paper the "Uttar Bharitiyas" counted somewhere close to 30 Lakhs in Bombay!!
