What is Really Wrong With Media in India...

Being a Media-holic I get all the leading Bombay-Mumbai newspapers english & hindi. The diverse spread is because I personally feel that if I need to know more about the city and the country at large I better get a wholesome dope else I never get to know much about other parts of India.

The local media has a certain quality which has been developed over the years.
If anyone wants to get to know the best advertisements published pick up The Bombay Times.
For hardcore news which will make you think pick up The Indian Express.
Variety of national issues DNA does it the best.
Scandalous hit for Mid-day which has gone down a few notches ever since Mumbai Mirror happened to be free for a majority of TOI subscribers!
Hindustan Times for bringing some really different issues which do matter in one's life.
For Hindi Navbharat Times is the paper.

On the news war amongst the TV channels I personally feel that some of them (TV media) should be brought to task for bringing some really sleazy stuff (NOT NEWSWORTHY AT ALL)into the living rooms of most of the Indian families who by the way own just one TV set which is mostly viewed by Women and Children.

I remember there was a Media blog call the Mediaah.com and some one famous was running it and he was FORCED to shut it down as it was getting too much for some of the Media Organisations.

In India where women are not treated well, men can go defecate anywhere, there is absoultely no respect for human life and where the Media is slowly becoming a force with all the freedom, how can some one pressurise some one to stop running a blog which openly discussed policies of Media Houses, work ethics, work culture and pay packages!

I did a bit of googling (searching on google!) and found out these informations that will clearly surmise to what I have been trying to put across.

One can read what had happened with FREEDOM of SPEECH and please do comment!

And this is why the Mammoth Media Garangutan try to gag www.mediaah.com

Isn't it too sad?

And then there is another blog which does comment on the Indian Media.

I shall try and post more on Media's role in Mumbai specifically in my next post.

Let Media Be Free, But Let Indians Be Free FIRST!
